1990 a further replacement appliance D110 TRN  Leyland Freighter
this was at the time  the most modern appliance Tarleton could have had

In October 1992 Tarleton was first in attendance at a large fire at Huntapac Produce Blackgate lane, Leading Fireman Mark Greenwood was officer in charge and instantly made pumps 4 then after further assessment made pumps 6, the incident went to 10 pumps in total with 2 special appliances attending.

In 1992  Sub Officer John Ward, the Station Commander retired after 37 years of service. Subsequently Leading Fireman Graham Iddon was promoted to Sub Officer in charge. (Station Commander).

 

Holmatro Combi ToolIn 1994 due to the high frequency of road traffic accidents attended by Tarleton they received Holmatro Cutting equipment used for rapid Extraction purposes. Prior to the arrival of this equipment Tarleton had to use manual tools for extrication until the emergencytender arrived from Preston and Chorley. Tarleton's appliance was now upgraded from a pump to a Pump rescue. (PR)

In 1995 Sub O Iddon Lff Cookson FF Sutton and Ff Bramham made it to the natiaonal finals of the
Fire Service Technical Quiz. This was the first time the station had taken part and came away with
in third position.

 

 

 

Fire Engine

1997, Tarleton receives another replacement appliance, a Leyland Freighter K156SCK this appliance had previously been based at C57Penwortham. This appliance was an updated
version of D110 TRN
